This project involved a full gut-renovation of an existing apartment in a pre-war building facing Central Park. The original layout was formal, reflecting the aesthetics of the time period, but it did not meet the client’s needs and modern expectations. The client’s desire was for an open, more contemporary plan with an eye toward maintaining and restoring some of the details and character of the existing apartment.
